The Long Game of Self-Trust: A BHM Interview With Worship Hazel

There’s a difference between looking powerful and understanding power. Worship Hazel is a master of the second one. She doesn’t treat domination like a costume to put on or a shortcut to authority. In this interview, She reflects on what it means to trust yourself through change, to stay teachable without losing your footing, and to show up fully without hiding behind image or ego.

No chasing quick wins or surface-level impressions, just ‘every kink mixed with Findom, from A to Z’.

Q1. What do You want people to understand about the difference between domination as performance and domination as personal identity?

Worship Hazel: Domination as performance is something you step into. It’s curated, intentional, and designed for an audience. Domination as a personal identity is much deeper than that. It’s rooted in self-trust, self-respect, and pride in what you do.

I believe that when someone feels embarrassed by their power, that discomfort usually comes from external judgment, not from the work itself. There is nothing shameful about being a strong woman who understands Herself, Her boundaries, and the systems She chooses to operate within. In fact, owning that power openly creates safer, more honest spaces for everyone involved.

When women (especially Black women) move with confidence instead of secrecy, it challenges the idea that our presence in these spaces should be taboo or hidden. Visibility matters. It allows others to engage with clarity and respect, rather than curiosity rooted in stereotypes. For Me, domination isn’t about hiding who I am… it is about standing fully in it and allowing that confidence to speak for itself.

Q2. What’s one thing You’ve had to unlearn to fully own Your power and Your pricing?

Worship Hazel: I had to unlearn the idea that confidence alone is enough. Looking the part or receiving praise doesn’t replace the value of being teachable. There are countless ways to succeed in this space, and everyone connects with their audience differently.

Listening to others, learning from different approaches, and staying open to new strategies has helped Me grow far beyond what I could have achieved on instinct alone. Every perspective carries a lesson, even if it doesn’t apply directly to you in the moment.

Owning your power also means being willing to evolve. When you stop assuming you already know everything, you create room for refinement, sustainability, and long-term success. Growth comes from curiosity, not ego. Once you let that go, you’ll be successful.

Q3. What inspires Your confidence on days when You don’t naturally feel it?

Worship Hazel: On days when confidence doesn’t come easily, I remind Myself that I’m living in answered prayers. A few years ago, I couldn’t have imagined the life I’m building now. Remembering how far I’ve come keeps Me grounded. My life didn’t have to look this way, and that perspective fills Me with gratitude.

Confidence doesn’t always come from feeling perfect; sometimes it comes from recognizing progress, appreciating blessings, and honoring the work it took to get here.
