Asian Heritage Month – Interview With Thealogy

Irresistible and irreplaceable, Thealogy flips narratives with a blink and commands attention with quiet precision. Tapping into Her most unfiltered self, She embodies the essence of femdom power, emerging as a Goddess shaped by contrast. Relentlessly powerful and unapologetically herself, Thealogy shares some thoughts on Her world and the roots of Her rule. We are thrilled to welcome Her to iWantBlog!

1. What does Asian Heritage Month mean to you?

Thealogy: Funny you should ask, because it doesn’t mean much to me – a Vietnamese woman from Central Europe. I only found out about Asian Heritage Month once I started befriending Asian American creators, which has taught me about the importance of celebrating your heritage and where you’re coming from in more specific, mindful ways.

So now I like to celebrate my Asian heritage every single day of my life. I surround myself with people who are loudly and proudly themselves, who support one another and their communities, who aren’t afraid to speak out and discuss the predicaments and beauty of our diverse backgrounds.

2. How has your Asian heritage empowered your presence as a dominant artist, and how do you channel that power in your work?

Thealogy: I was always quite a storm, especially as a child in Vietnam. My mother let me run wild and boss people around. Entering the professional femdom world, I tapped back into my most unfiltered self: dressed as a little princess in Vietnam, I was the tiniest all-girl-gang leader who was bullying boys in preschool for funsies.

Growing up in a Vietnamese family also taught me persistence, resilience, and overachieving.

3. What cultural elements or traditions from your background bring a unique flair to your artistic style?

Thealogy: Anticolonialism, pride, sovereignty, wit of a sly fox, and luring men into booby traps with my divine allure of a powerful Vietnamese Goddess with an irreplicable, mesmerizing face that features very prominent Vietnamese traits: full lips, piercing black eyes, soft skin, defined cheekbones and sharp jawline paired with my brutal, invasive words create a stark contrast that not many can defend from.

4. How do you use your platforms to highlight the beauty and strength of your heritage?

Thealogy: While the orientalist stereotype of a submissive Asian woman might still be prevalent with passport bros, I choose to flip the narrative and dominate men into subservience to superiority of my Asian heritage, breaking that submissive Asian woman stereotype that I consider harmful and dehumanizing.

5. If your art could tell one powerful story about your heritage, what would it say?

Thealogy: Vietnamese women are relentlessly powerful. We carry the future of the nation and the culture on our backs. We command, demand, and we will always prevail.

I often find myself thinking about Trung sisters, the two national heroines who led a rebellion with a predominantly female army against the Han dynasty, riding on war elephants and driving the Chinese out of the country.

My grandmother is a Vietnamese war veteran who fought for the independence of the Vietnamese people from French imperial rule.

That’s my heritage.

6. What is one piece of wisdom from your culture that you carry with you as a dominant artist?

Thealogy: It would be that nobody fucks with the Vietnamese. We’ll humiliate you, defeat you, and take all your money.

7. If you could send a message to other Asian artists in the scene, what would you want them to remember this month and beyond?

Thealogy: Be so unapologetically yourself and so proud of where you’re coming from that people are going to feel intimidated, threatened, intrigued, and turned on at the same time.
