We chatted with Mistress Maxima to get Her thoughts on the new video calling feature. We talked about pre-cam routine, strategies for successful calls, and an unusual roleplay scenario that later became a clip. Q1. Walk us through Your pre-cam routine. Is there anything special You do before preparing to go live one-on-one with a fan?
Mistress Maxima: I prepare a good meal for Myself, something that gives Me energy for long sessions. Then I pick the outfit depending on My mood. It’s important to have a big bottle of water — you’ll need it if you’re giving orders or doing a long verbal humiliation session.
Q2. What are some subtle cues or signals You watch for during a video call that help guide Your interaction with Your fan? Especially if it’s their first time?
Mistress Maxima: I try to watch their body language. I know there will be chemistry if they follow My lead and are excited about it. But sometimes it is just random. I have had sessions with fans with zero facial expressions… and I thought: “This person is having the worst time of their life.” But afterward, they send a tip and thank Me for an amazing session.
Q3. How has Your experience been so far with IWC’s new Video Calling feature? What do You like most?
Mistress Maxima: It’s great, and I was super excited when the new feature came out! I’ve had very polite users so far. I really appreciate it when they send Me a message before calling. I like to have a hint of their kinks and limits before starting a session — especially if it’s the first one!
Q4. What strategies have You found most effective in encouraging fans to book a call with You? And how does Your iWantClips Store or social media play a role in that?
Mistress Maxima: My store has a big role in it. Most of My videos are inspired by old video sessions, so what they’re seeing in My store is pretty much what they can get from a video session with Me. So they can be My next source of inspiration if we have a great session!
I love unusual scenarios — the weirder the better. I love weird!
Q5. Would You rather have 10 short video calls with different fans, or one dedicated, hour-long session with a super-loyal sub?
Mistress Maxima: Long sessions, always! This means that we’re having a great time!
Q1. What’s Your favorite outfit/accessory to wear when video calling? Do You typically stay true to Your unique Domme brand, or do You enjoy roleplaying different personas for each video call?
Mistress Maxima: Any short dress is a must for Me! I’m into roleplay, but always as Myself (like c***old roleplay or being a super mean partner). If I have to pick one, it would be My Berserk choker. If you have more than one session with Me, you will probably see it.
Q6. Was there ever an unexpected or funny fan request You received during a video call that caught You off guard?
Mistress Maxima: There were many things! One fan sang a song for Me — it was really cute. Once I roleplayed as an ex’s lawyer for an exposing roleplay. I had so much fun with that one! I made a video for IWC with that theme afterward. When I have a fun session, it helps as a source of inspiration for more videos!
Q7. What are Your top three tips for someone who is just starting out with video calls on IWC?
Mistress Maxima: Be patient. Not every call will be good, so don’t be frustrated if you have a couple of bad ones. Just like real-life relationships, chemistry between two people sometimes is just not there. You can be the best Domme in town, but sometimes you and the client just don’t match. And that is nobody’s fault. It just happens.
The second one: You can have the best outfit and setup, but for video sessions, the most important thing is to be true to yourself. Do things that you really enjoy. That makes a difference.
And the last one (but it’s related to the second one): It will take time to find your kink. There’s no such thing as “the girl who can do it all.” Nope. There will be things that you won’t like. And sometimes sessions are not about the fetish itself — sometimes someone just wants to have someone to chat with that day.
Q8. In Your opinion, what separates a good video call from a truly unforgettable one? What can a fan do to make a good impression and grab Your attention?
Mistress Maxima: I really love creative subs. For example: I love CBT sessions, but when the other person takes their time to create their own elements and clothes, with a high level of attention to details… that’s something I enjoy more than the “yes Mistress” sessions. I can see the passion for the kink — that’s something that I love to see every time.
Q9. What are the best practices You’ve developed for managing Your time and energy with video calls?
Mistress Maxima: Trying to have a fixed schedule for every week. I only stay online when I really can do My best. I try to have a minimum of two days off per week. I have a work phone, so every notification will pop up there instead of on My personal phone (which could tempt Me to turn on My computer and put Myself online). So being well-rested is important. And it’s also important to let your audience know where you will be online next. Stay consistent. That’s a nice convo!
